Phantasy Star IV

So, Phantasy Star IV is one of the games I never played as a kid. This classic role-playing game that remains popular with most Sega and retro gamers. I was never a huge RPG type of guy with platformers and fighting games taking my attention. But I am glad to say that many years later having the oppurtunity to revisit many games I missed has been a bless. With its engaging story and addictive gameplay, it’s no wonder that many gamers continue to enjoy this title today. As usual, we will explore some of the best cheats and tips for Phantasy Star IV that can help players enhance their gaming experience. As well as look at what makes this one of Sega’s best.

Phantasy Star IV  –  Levels

We start things off as the game is set in the Algol star system, which is on the brink of destruction due to the return of an ancient evil force. You take control of a group of heroes who are tasked with preventing the destruction of the three planets in the system. Along the way, the heroes will encounter a variety of enemies, dungeons, and puzzles as they uncover the mysteries of the evil force’s return. The game is known for its engaging storyline, turn-based combat, and expansive world to explore.

Phantasy Star IV on Genesis features a diverse set of levels that challenge players with various environments, enemies, and puzzles. Some of the most memorable levels include the floating city of Zio (underrated boss fight at the end as well), the mysterious planet of Dezoris, and the artificial satellite known as Rykros. I have to say this as well I’m not sure if its just me or if the difficulty actually is at times insane, three particular sections that stand out as some of the toughest challenges: the climactic battle against Zio, the treacherous dungeon known as the Garuberk Tower, and the final confrontation with the powerful Dark Force. I have to be honest – I didnt make it through without the aid of some xp boosting lol. Amazing game worth getting into if you havent already.

Game Bugs & Glitches

Are there any game bugs and glitches? Yes, you know if there are we would have them. Of course we know of several glitches and bugs in The Adventures of Batman and Robin on Sega Genesis. Some of the most notable ones include:

The “invincibility” glitch: This glitch causes Batman or Robin to become invincible for the remainder of the level after taking damage from a certain enemy. This can be useful for getting through difficult parts of the game but can also make the game too easy.

The “collision detection” glitch: This glitch causes Batman or Robin to get stuck in the environment or other objects, making it impossible to progress through the level.

The “weapon switching” glitch: This glitch causes the player to lose their weapon when switching to a different weapon. This can be frustrating as the player may need a specific weapon to progress through a level.

The “sound effects” glitch: This glitch causes the sound effects to cut out or become distorted, which can detract from the overall gameplay experience.

Despite these glitches and bugs, The Adventures of Batman and Robin on Sega Genesis remains a beloved game among retro gamers.
